Transparency disclosure regarding HTTP cookies, browser local storage, and local preference management.
Manage functional local storage preferences stored in your browser RAM/disk for MHTC Math Tools.
A cookie is a small text file downloaded to your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are traditionally used to maintain logged-in user sessions, store shopping cart items, or track visitor browsing habits across different websites.
Browser Local Storage (localStorage) is a modern HTML5 web standard that allows web applications to store key-value data pairs directly inside your browser memory on your local machine without sending data back and forth to a server over HTTP headers.
MHTC does NOT use third-party advertising cookies, behavioral tracking pixels, or cross-site fingerprinting beacons.
We do not partner with ad networks that track your browsing history across the web. You can inspect your browser's Developer Tools (F12) under the Application > Cookies tab while using MHTC — no third-party tracking cookies are created or transmitted.
We use local storage strictly for essential functional user interface enhancements:
| Storage Key | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
mhtc_theme | Saves dark/light observatory color theme preference | Persistent until cleared by user |
mhtc_last_calc | Remembers last selected tab mode on tool widgets | Session memory |
You can manage, block, or delete cookies and local storage directly through your web browser settings:
